Survey for Self-Advocates and Individuals on Digital Skills

The Immigrant Services Society of BC (ISSofBC) is developing a digital literacy training program for service providers across British Columbia and is inviting self-advocates and individuals to help shape the training program through a survey about digital literacy skills.Below is a message from ISSofBC with information about the digital literacy training program and how to participate in the survey.

Our names are Lisa and Caroline. We are working on a project to provide digital skills tutoring to self-advocates and individuals that is funded with a grant from Community Living BC (CLBC).

Digital skills tutoring is when someone gets help in a class or online to learn how to use a computer, a laptop, a tablet, an iPad, or a phone to get on the internet.

We are collecting people’s ideas through a survey and will ask questions like:

  • What device do you use to get online, take classes or join groups?
  • What problems do you have?
  • What help do you need?

The survey takes between 15 to 30 minutes to complete. We are not collecting anyone’s name, location, or contact information through the survey.

It is completely anonymous.

The survey closes on May 21. Just click on the link below and follow the instructions to take the survey.

If you need help, ask someone you trust like a friend, caregiver, or family member.

We will use your ideas to make sure the digital skills tutoring is helpful for all self-advocates and individuals.

Thank you for your time and your help!
Lisa and Caroline
