United Way of the Fraser Valley
United Way of the Fraser Valley has a long history of community involvement and agency support through its community investment efforts, its family of member agencies and its annual campaign. United Way has been active in the Fraser Valley since 1984, serving communities from Aldergrove in the west to Hope in the east, including Abbotsford, Mission and Chilliwack. We provide support to 47 Member Agencies, and deliver services to hundreds of other non-profit and charitable organizations in all communities throughout the Central and Upper Fraser Valley. Our services to organizations include program and priority issue funding, organizational development and board training, volunteer support and resources, and collaborative research and development.

Canuck Place Childrens Hospice
Canuck Place Children’s Hospice provides specialized (pediatric) care for children living with progressive life-limiting illnesses, and their families in British Columbia. The goal of this specialized care, known as pediatric palliative care, is to enhance the comfort and quality of life for children, and their families. This care includes pain and symptom management for the child while also attending to the child’s, and family’s, comprehensive physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. Canuck Place services are available to any child and their family in B.C., at no cost to them.
United Way of America is the national organization dedicated to leading the United Way movement in making measurable impact in every community across America. The United Way movement includes approximately 1,400 community-based United Way organizations. Each is independent, separately incorporated, and governed by local volunteers.
Variety – The Children’s Charity
Since its inception in 1965, the Variety – The Children’s Charity of BC has raised more than $100 million to help children with special needs. All funds raised in BC, stay in BC. You’ll find Variety wherever there are children in need – funding capital projects for hospitals and development centres, supporting essential services such as medical treatments or subsidizing the purchase of wheelchairs, specialized equipment and tools for independent living Variety provides support to individual children and their families when financial difficulties arise due to the child’s medical condition. More than 200 fund raising events are hosted by Variety or its supporters every year. The largest event is Variety’s annual “Show of Hearts” telethon broadcast live on Global TV around Valentine’s Day weekend.
